OK, here’s the lowdown on what’s up. When we started having three services a few weeks ago, we hoped for a pretty even split between the second and third services. But the last few weeks that hasn’t happened. It seems more people want to come to the second service than the last one. Our first and second services are well attended and growing, but the third one isn’t growing as fast. While all three services are EXACTLY the same, it seems the start times are the biggest factor for most people. Well, that and they’re in a hurry to eat lunch.
Here’s where you come in (actually we’re hoping you’ll ‘come in’ around 11:30 Sunday). We’re asking for a few volunteers (around 20) that currently attend the second service to switch and start attending the third. This will help the church in several ways, the biggest being that it will open up more room for new faces (most of which show up at 10:15). I understand this isn’t an option for some of you because of the way your ministry teams are scheduled. But there are a few of you who could just as easily come at 11:30 as you do now at 10:15 (which would make you infinitely more holy, by the way). And hey, if you’re coming to the 9am service and you’re willing to make the jump and help us out, we’d appreciate your help too (this would make you so holy we’d probably name something after you – like Justin‘s first kid).
Here’s the good news: we only expect this to be a temporary issue for a couple reasons. First, when we have three services full and have to add a fourth we’ll rearrange so that we have 2 Saturday night services AND 2 Sunday morning services, all at optimal times (meaning ‘not too early, not too late’). And at the rate we’re going this will happen sooner than you think. The other reason we believe this adjustment will be short term is because we’ve begun actively looking for a venue to relocate to where we can ALL meet for one service and stop the madness. So between these two potential solutions we feel this is a short term issue. Won’t you help us for a little while?
ha, ha I want Justin to name his first kid after me. I totally would, but I just switched it so I could work in the youth in the 2nd and power up in the 3rd. But if it gets to be a problem, let me know and I’ll see if I can switch it again. : )
well the way I see it ….we are always late to the 10:15 service so we will just show up ten minutes later and attend the 11:30 lol…..Great idea though putting it out there for people to know!
