Year-In-Review

Posted: January 3, 2008 in observations

I know it’s a couple days late, but I thought I’d do a year-in-review of my favorite posts of 2007. I know we’ve got a lot of new faces, both around RPC and to this blog, who weren’t here for the whole year. So take some time and check these out…

Ezekiel Was A Human

This one was a powerful reminder to me personally of my weakness and my need for God.

I Can’t Do It Anymore

Got a lot of feedback on this one, mostly verbal. Just when you think no one is reading these things, you post something like this and everyone mentions it to you…

No Way They Did That

Ok, so it’s a video. This was one of my favorite moments at RPC in 2007, and Em did a great job editing the footage. The first half was what we used for the sermon intro – the rest was what happened next.

Unusable?

As you’ll read, this one was sparked by a discussion with one of our members. It still moves me to think about God’s standard vs. the religious standards of today.

The Christian Jihad

Whoa, Nelly, this one was hot. I got some MAJOR feedback on this one – some uplifting, some not-so-much. But I meant every word, and I stand by it. And I wish everyone would read it. And do something about it. And no matter how popular it is, it’s still true. So there.

You Gotta Earn My Business

There’s a lot of discussion in the church right now about “marketing”, and many think it doesn’t belong. This post is a reminder that EVERYONE markets an experience, whether they want to admit it or not.

Friendly Fire

A reminder to myself (and anyone else who needs it) how we should respond when others criticize and gossip about us.

So there you have it. Did any of these strike a chord with you?
