I was back in the office for a couple of hours yesterday, and boy am I pumped!!
I’ve been struggling with some issues concerning the direction of RPC and our discipleship process for the last year and a half, and have spent much of my time the last couple of weeks praying and thinking through them. Then about a week ago things began to clear up for me, and I finally feel like I know the next steps that God wants us to take.
And as I talked through this new direction with some staff members yesterday, we all came to the conclusion that I need to share it with RPC.
So on January 27 (my first Sunday back) we’ll begin a new series called “Escalator” where we’ll discover together what it really means to follow Jesus. It’ll piggy back off the series Michael is doing now (From The Foyer To The Kitchen), and it’s gonna be off the chain.
I kinda feel sorry for you RPC’ers. I’m usually pumped when I come back from time off, and I’ve never had this much time off before. Couple that with me getting some answers to a question I’ve been asking for over a year, and you’ve got the recipe for something crazy to happen. I don’t know exactly what’s going to happen, but I’m pretty sure you’ll wanna be there…
