Five random things floating through my brain today…
1. Watched Napoleon Dynamite on tv last night. I love that movie, mainly because of the lines. (I know it’s stupid. That’s why it’s funny.) When Napoleon told Pedro “Listen to your heart”, Noah grabbed his play stethoscope and tried to listen to Miranda’s heart. It was much more hilarious than it sounds when I type it.
2. Ate at Peebles BBQ last night. There’s always a long wait, and it’s cramped, and they don’t even serve sweet tea. But I don’t care because their ribs are ridiculous.
3. I may be the only person in Florida who doesn’t care that the Gators won the “national championship”. Ok, I know there are others, but not many. Their bandwagon is overflowing. (Cue the hate mail…)
4. And since we’re on the subject, can we stop calling whoever wins this game the “national champion”? They’re not. And until we get a college football playoff they won’t be. The Gators very well could have won a playoff this year and silenced all the critics. And even though I’m not a fan I think they should’ve had the chance. But I guess then we’d have nothing to argue about.
5. I’m really excited about what’s going on at RPC right now. Our financial seminar on January 31st is generating some interest, the Leadership Forum is filling up, we have over 50 people interested in a trip to Zambia this year, we’re working hard to better communicate what’s going on, and this week we had an opportunity drop into our lap that could really turn in to something big for us. More on that later…
Meet Floridian #2 that doesn’t care that the Gators won.
I am totally on the Napoleon Dynamite band wagon!! Have been, always will!!!
I love Napoleon Dynamite too. Warms my heart everytime I see it.
I was hoping the Gators would lose but my opinion is somewhat biased.
